Local Realtor Heikki Walden is a long-time resident of Little Italy Toronto.
Originally born in Finland, when Heikki was two years old his family moved to the Little Italy section of Vancouver just off of Commercial Drive in a modest apartment on William Street. There’s something deeply engrained in his earliest memories and experiences of Canada that was shaped by the spirit of Little Italy. This feeling of joy about Little Italy carried over to when Heikki moved to Toronto for studies at the U of T (where he completed an M.A. degree.) Deciding to settle permanently in Toronto he always hoped he could move to Little Italy.
Heikki finds Little Italy refreshing, vibrant and a great place to call home. The mix of people in the neighbourhood is tremendous and fun.
Heikki is fascinated by the mix of residents in Little Italy – from multi-generational residents, to students, artists and up-and-comers to the professionals moving into the neighbourhood.
After graduating from U of T Heikki trained as real estate appraiser, providing accurate values for hundreds of properties for the major Canadian banks traveling the extent of the Greater Golden Horsheshoe from Toronto to Hamilton to Wasaga Beach and Collingwood to Cobourg. Heikki Walden has the skills and experience to provide an accurate value for your Toronto property.
Little Italy provides tremendous long term value in properties. The mix of properties from large to small, condos, lofts and townhomes as well as the opportunity to buy multi-unit houses or to put in secondary suites makes the neighbourhood flexible for all generations.
Little Italy is easily walkable with excellent transit so you can leave your car behind for most things. The numerous parks, shops, services, restaurants, cafes and festivals makes the area an easy place to live.
